20 Dollar Notes Prices Values Guide

  • Identify the note’s series year.
    1934A 1928 1878
  • Determine the type of note you possess. This is usually indicated on the front of your note towards the top or very bottom: ie. “Federal Reserve Note”, or “National Currency”, or “United States Note”.

  • Look for your note’s series year and type below. Any notes with series year prior to 1928 are "Large Size" notes, because their dimensions are greater than the size of the modern day notes we currently use. Notes dated 1928 or later are all "Small Size" notes, the same as what you might have in your pocket right now.
